Pittsburgh North Golf Club offers a number of opportunities for the Junior Golfer (10 - 17 years) to play and improve their game. PGA/LPGA professional, Patricia Price, administrates the very active program.

Junior Golf Association 2009    *NOTE Registration is held AT Golf Course TILL 6/12                                     MUST ATTEND FULL REGISTRATION  AND   ORIENTATIONS (1.5 HR) ON TIME  1-2:30                                                                          This is a summer program that “Sox” Price initiated years ago to offer all juniors an affordable opportunity to play golf. The program runs Monday thru Friday from June until the last of August during school vacation. Cost consists of $2 per 9 hole round on “The Fox” before 7:00 AM weekdays. Please refer to the website for any changes in dates and times.                                            We use Pine-Richland School Year For Scheduling.

Included in the  2009 program:

• 1 bucket of range balls per month (June, July,& August)
• Saturday, June 13 - Clinic I from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM at the Range
• *Friday June 26- Clinic II from 9AM-10AM***  at the Range
• Thursday, August 13   Year-end outing  begins at 7:30AM   
•  *Note these dates could change for unknown, so check site for any changes

Between 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM Monday - Friday and After 4:00 PM on Weekends members may play the Fox for $6.00* (must pay BEFORE play AND make starting time on pro shop sheet)

Junior Association Player Agreement

• All players must be at the course ready to play before 7:00 AM
• Must be dropped off in Golf Course Parking Lot ! (Not on Bakerstown Road)
• Juniors 10-17 in age. Proof of age must be presented.
• Play is on the Fox course—Monday through Friday.
• Play is a privilege, not a right and can be revoked at any time for any reason.
• Play may be cancelled on days course has large event/outings.
• All players wear appropriate golf attire, shoes, and have their own set of clubs.
• All players are expected to conduct themselves in a sportsperson-like manner treat the course and fellow players as you would like to be treated.
• It is understood that anyone participating in this program can play the game proficiently enough to be on the course and not hold up play.

Juniors

Lessons will be held at the range on Rt 8

Lessons will cover the basic golf swing fundamentals with drill work to create necessary golf swing movements. Putting, chiipping, 7 iron, and fairway wood.  Practice is vital when learning a movement sport and correct swing model will be taught..

 The class will be working with the individual problems that cause poor shot results. Course management will also be addressed to enable and individual to better select club and targets.

Each student will be given a student practice card  ($48 VALUE) to come to the range and work on these principles when not in class. These are NOT for anyone BUT the student! (given by Patricia to the student)

  The final class will be on the Fox course @ Pittsburgh North.  Classes must have at least 5 students registered to take place. In the event we have enough for 2 classes we will add additional time
